Forged Steel Check Valves
Forged steel check valves stop reverse flow automatically in small-bore, high-pressure piping. They open with forward flow and close when flow stops, with no operator needed.
We supply lift (piston), ball and swing type forged check valves in carbon, alloy and stainless steel, with socket weld, threaded or butt weld ends.

Frequently asked questions
Which is better, piston lift or swing check?
Piston lift checks seal tightly and suit high pressure and horizontal lines, and spring-assisted versions also work vertically. Swing checks have lower pressure drop but need a horizontal or upward flow installation.
Can a lift check valve be installed vertically?
Standard lift checks are for horizontal lines. Spring-loaded or ball type versions can be used in vertical upward flow. Specify the orientation when ordering.
What pressure test do the valves receive?
Valves are shell and seat tested to API 598. Test certificates are available on request.
