Brass Check Valves
Brass check valves, or non-return valves, allow flow one way and close automatically to prevent backflow. They protect pumps, water heaters and meters in plumbing and light industrial systems.
We supply brass swing check, spring check and foot valves with threaded ends for water, air and HVAC systems.

Frequently asked questions
Swing check or spring check?
A swing check has a lower pressure drop but must be installed horizontally or in upward flow. A spring check works in any orientation and closes faster.
What is a foot valve?
A spring check valve with a strainer, fitted at the bottom of a pump suction pipe. It keeps the pump primed and stops debris entering.
Why is my check valve chattering?
Usually the flow is too low to hold the disc open. Choosing a smaller size or different design usually solves it.
