Solenoid Valves
Solenoid valves are electrically operated valves that open or close in a fraction of a second when their coil is energized. They automate the flow of water, air, gas, oil and steam in machinery and plant systems.
We supply 2/2-way and 3/2-way solenoid valves in brass and stainless steel, direct-acting and pilot-operated, with a wide choice of coil voltages and seal materials.

Frequently asked questions
What does 2/2-way and 3/2-way mean?
2/2-way has two ports and two positions, simply opening or closing a line. 3/2-way has three ports and switches flow between them, often used to pilot a pneumatic actuator.
Brass or stainless steel?
Brass suits water, air and light oils. Stainless steel suits steam, aggressive fluids, food and high-temperature service.
Why won't my pilot-operated solenoid valve open?
It needs a minimum pressure difference across it, usually around 0.3 to 0.5 bar. At zero or very low pressure, use a direct-acting or semi-direct model instead.
Can the coil be powered continuously?
Standard industrial coils are rated for continuous duty (100% ED). Check the coil rating for the specific model.
