Pneumatic Actuated Ball Valves
Pneumatic actuated ball valves use compressed air to open and close a quarter-turn ball valve quickly and reliably. They are the standard automated on/off valve in process plants.
We supply complete assemblies with rack-and-pinion double-acting or spring-return actuators, NAMUR solenoid valves and limit switch boxes, on brass, stainless or carbon steel ball valves.

Frequently asked questions
Double acting or spring return?
A double-acting actuator uses air to open and to close, and stays put if air fails. A spring-return actuator uses air to move one way and a spring to return, so the valve fails safely open or closed.
What accessories are needed?
Usually a NAMUR solenoid valve to switch the air, a limit switch box for position feedback, and an air filter regulator.
What air pressure is required?
Most actuators are sized for 5 to 6 bar supply air. Actuator size depends on valve torque and available air pressure.
