Electric Actuated Butterfly Valves
Electric actuated butterfly valves give motorized quarter-turn isolation and flow control on large-diameter lines, controlled from a switch, PLC or building management system.
We supply wafer and lug butterfly valves with ductile iron or stainless bodies, fitted with on/off or modulating electric actuators with feedback and manual override.

Frequently asked questions
How is the actuator sized?
It is matched to the valve's breakaway torque plus a safety margin, which depends on size, seat material and pressure. We supply the valve and actuator as a matched assembly.
Can it control flow as well as isolate?
Yes, with a modulating actuator taking a 4–20 mA or 0–10 V signal. Butterfly valves control best between about 20% and 80% open.
What feedback is available?
Limit switches for open/closed indication, and a position transmitter on modulating models.
