Brass Gate Valves
Brass gate valves give full-bore, low-resistance isolation for water, plumbing and low-pressure services. A handwheel raises the wedge fully out of the flow path.
We supply non-rising-stem brass and bronze gate valves with threaded ends, for building services, water supply and general light-duty use.

Frequently asked questions
Brass gate valve or brass ball valve?
A gate valve opens gradually and closes slowly, which reduces water hammer in long lines. A ball valve is quicker to operate and seals more tightly. Both give full flow when open.
Can I use a gate valve partly open?
No. Gate valves should be fully open or fully closed. Partly open, the wedge vibrates and wears.
What is the difference between brass and bronze valves?
Bronze is a copper-tin alloy that resists corrosion and dezincification better. Brass is a copper-zinc alloy that is economical and easy to forge.
