Cast Steel Gate Valves
Cast steel gate valves are full-bore, bolted-bonnet isolation valves for oil, gas, steam and process pipelines. When fully open the wedge is out of the flow path, so pressure drop is very low.
We supply API 600 cast steel gate valves in carbon, low-temperature and alloy steel, flanged or butt weld, in pressure classes up to 2500.

Frequently asked questions
What is a flexible wedge?
A wedge with a groove around it lets the two faces flex slightly. It seals well and resists sticking when the body heats up or the pipe bends, so it is the standard choice for steam and high-temperature service.
What is the difference between WCB, LCB and WC6?
WCB is standard carbon steel. LCB/LCC are carbon steels impact-tested for low-temperature service. WC6 and WC9 are chrome-moly alloy steels for high-temperature steam.
RF or RTJ flanges?
Raised face (RF) flanges with spiral wound gaskets are standard for most service. Ring type joint (RTJ) flanges are used for high pressure classes and critical hydrocarbon service.
